World Lit II
This course is designed to develop the understanding of the historical traditions of literature from the Enlightenment to the present. Emphasis is on the study of western literary ideas and movements through the works of such authors as Moliere, Voltaire, Goethe, Wordsworth, Ibsen, and Achebe. The course gives the student the opportunity to respond critically and personally to a variety of selected readings of the principle literary genres--fiction, poetry, and drama.
