CF Institute Offers Driving Courses

Driving courses are offered by the CF Institute at the College of Central Florida, 3001 S.W. College Road.
Basic Driver Improvement will meet Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 5-9 p.m. This course will assist drivers in taking a critical look at their driving style and how to improve driving behaviors. It will prevent points on a driver’s license following a traffic citation and may be used for insurance discounts. The fee is $30 per session.
Motorcycle Basic Rider will meet Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. All class days must be attended. This course is required for anyone seeking a motorcycle endorsement regardless of age and experience. The fee is $200.
First-Time Driver course will meet Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This course meets state requirements for obtaining a first-time driver’s license and is also appropriate for any adult who has never had a U.S. driver’s license. The written test must be taken at the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles office. The fee is $30.
