CF Earns Marketing and Public Relations Awards

The Marketing and Public Relations Department at the College of Central Florida brought home several awards from conferences of the Association of Florida Colleges and the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.
In the AFC Communications and Marketing Commission Awards of Excellence, CF earned First Place in Video/Electronic Promotion for a series of three commercials produced in partnership with Digital Fury of Ocala; Second Place in College Annual Report, produced in partnership with First Impressions Printing of Ocala; Third Place in Article/Story Pitch Resulting in Publication for news coverage of CF's $10,000 baccalaureate degree; Third Place for CF Connection Magazine, which is also produced with First Impressions Printing; and Third Place in Redesign for the 2013 College Preview Night Program. The awards were presented at AFC’s annual conference in Orlando Nov. 13-15. AFC is the professional association for Florida’s 28 public colleges, their boards, employees, retirees and associates.
CF Marketing and Public Relations also was honored in the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 2 Medallion Awards: Gold Medallion of Excellence for the video commercials; Silver Medallion of Achievement for news placement; and a Bronze Medallion of Merit for the college magazine. The awards were presented at NCMPR’s regional conference in October. NCMPR connects marketing and PR professionals at community and technical colleges throughout the nation and supports their professional growth.
