Mayor Guinn to Speak at Volunteer Program Open House Dec. 6

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at the College of Central Florida will host a holiday drop-in Friday, Dec. 6, from 1-3 p.m. at the Webber Center at the CF Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
City of Ocala Mayor Kent Guinn will speak about the community impact and importance of volunteerism.
Refreshments will be served. While the event is free to attend, attendees are encouraged to bring canned and nonperishable food items to support Marion County’s “Bring Home the Harvest.”

RSVP is a national program funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service, a federal agency. Established in 1971 and now one of the largest senior volunteer organizations in the nation, RSVP engages more than 400,000 people age 55 and better in a diverse range of volunteer activities.
