The Heart of Florida Regional Coalition promotes regional collaboration among Alachua, Marion and contiguous counties. The coalition is acutely aware that the assets of the region provide tremendous opportunity for business development and quality living. The region boasts of education through excellent K-12 schools, community colleges and the University of Florida. The region’s strength, in part, lies in its access to the legislative process, its progressive chambers of commerce, its forward thinking economic development, its attention to the area’s culture and arts, and its sense of community. The Coalition believes this region is second to none and through cooperation and collaboration, greater things can be accomplished.

in the Heart of Florida

Community Leaders, join fellow leaders across the Heart of Florida on an inter-regional visit to community treasures and business successes that create the economic backbone of the region. Enjoy a fast-paced community tour certain to offer a fresh perspective on the opportunities and assets of the region. Share your perspective of issues and needs with other key leaders to make our region even greater.

The bus tour will leave one community half full of community leaders and will be met by leaders of the other community to begin the tour.  We will see what the featured community has to offer, engage in networking and conversation, have great lunches and experience what is best in our region.

Ocala Tour: June 2
The bus will leave Gainesville from the Hilton at 7:30 am.  Ocala leaders will meet the bus at Ocala/MC Chamber building at 8:30 am to begin touring together.

Gainesville Tour: June 17
The bus will leave Ocala from Ocala/MC Chamber building at 6:45 am.  Gainesville leaders will meet the bus at the UF Hilton Conference Center at 7:30 am to begin touring together.  Both tours begin at 7:45 am on their scheduled day.

Limited seating on the bus, register at your local Chamber by May 27.
Cost: $125 for both tours (strongly encouraged to do both tours); $75 for one tour only.
