Surreal Love

Georginia Brownell

The disbelief in your eyes
Could freeze a summer’s day
But I ignored the sparks
Fire….to dismay.

Spinning amongst the webs
Hate spewing from every pore
Each path a wall
Escape…no more.

The hand that snaked
Bypassing feelings snatched affections
Along the way.
love…too loose.

Crystalline tears in pairs of eyes
Longing to fall, frozen in time.

Right Away I Taste Your Smell

Rubén Uribe

Right away I taste your smell
Upon my palms, my fingertips
Because you held them, held me
Ever so briefly.
