Adjunct Application Process

Adjunct Application Instructions:

  • Complete the ENTIRE application
  • Indicate start and end dates and HOURS WORKED for each position
  • Submit a different application for each position being applied for
  • Submit a copy of, or, original Transcripts , with EACH application submitted
  • Submit all applications directly to the campus and/or department contact indicated  

Applications will be returned if:

  • Duties and Responsibilities are not complete on the application (do not indicate `please see resume')
  • Transcripts are not received
  • The application does not indicate required experience from previous employment for the position being applied for (a resume or curriculum vitae may not be substituted for a completed application)
  • The application was not signed

What is an Open Continuous Applicant Pool?

An Open Continuous applicant pool allows the department to receive applications although the position may not need to be filled immediately. By having applications on file, should a position become vacant, the hiring supervisor would refer to the applications received in order to fill the position.

Why haven't I received a call from the department acknowledging receipt of my application?

The application and selection process is reviewed when positions are vacant. The department is not required to contact applicants in an open continuous pool until there is an opening.

Do I mail the Verification of Employment to my previous employer?

No. Verifications of employment are sent from the Human Resources office after the hiring process.

How long will my application be on file?

Complete applications are kept on file for 2 years.

Can my Application or Transcripts be copied from the department in order to apply for another position?

No. It is the applicant's responsibility to submit an application for each position which you are applying for.

Why was my application returned?

Applications are returned when information is not complete. ` Duties and responsibilities ' on the application for previous employment, must include required work experience, for the position being applied for. If transcripts are not received the application is considered incomplete. By returning the application you are afforded the opportunity to include additional information and return the application for consideration.

Can I forward a Resume or Curriculum Vitae for a position, or, to keep on file?

No. We do not keep résumé's or curriculum vitae's on file. A resume may be submitted with a complete application for vacant positions only. Résumé's received will be returned with an application for completion.
