Honors Institute

DiplomaThe CFCC Honors Institute includes the prestigious Community of Scholars Honors Program and coordination of major scholarship competitions for CFCC students. As honors program participants, students automatically are members of the Honors Institute, which is devoted to the recognition and enhancement of the academic achievement of CFCC’s scholars.

The Honors Institute offers diverse opportunities for students to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom. Throughout the academic year, field trips are scheduled to provide educational exposure to drama, dance, art, and music. Recent trips have included visits to aquariums and museums in cities such as Tampa, Orlando and St. Petersburg.

Many Honors Institute students participate in regional and national conferences developed by the National and Florida Collegiate Honors Councils (NCHC, FCHC) and Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.
