Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning Technology EPA Certification

Federal law requires Environmental Protection Agency Certification for those persons who will be handling or purchasing refrigerants. EPA certification is obtained by taking a proctored Exam. The exam consists of questions pertaining to the EPA’s rules regarding the environmentally safe handling, recovery, and disposal of refrigerants. Students enrolled in the HVAC certificate program will be eligible to take this exam at the end of their second semester at no extra cost to the student. For others wishing to become EPA certified, the Exam fee is $50 and completion of the Fast Track Course is required. Study material is provided.
