Visual Artists’ Society
The Visual Artists’ Society of CF was formed in the summer of 2007. The society is dedicated to the advancement of each of its members. The Webber Center Gallery hosts the society’s programs and exhibitions throughout the year.

‘THIS LAND IS OUR LAND’ EXHIBIT OPENS JAN. 28 AT CF
(OCALA, Fla.) Jan. 8, 2010 — The Visual Artists’ Society brings “This Land is Our Land” to the Webber Center Gallery of Central Florida Community College beginning Thursday, Jan. 28. The works revolve around the college’s continuing discussions on environmental appreciation and awareness through many artistic mediums.
An opening reception for the judged and juried exhibit will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, in the Webber Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Most art works at the exhibit will be available for purchase.
Judge for the show is Lauren Garber Lake, an assistant professor of Art-Art History at University of Florida. The Visual Artists’ Society has more than 100 members, comprised of professional and amateur artists as well as CF students.
The exhibit will be open through Saturday, March 20. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The gallery is closed Sundays and Mondays. Admission is free.
