Peter Smith,
guitar
In addition to teaching private guitar and performing with CF's jazz ensemble, Dr. Peter D. Smith is Associate Professor for the Humanities and Social Sciences, and has served on CF’s faculty since August of 2003. Peter is an accomplished performer and lectures regularly on such topics as Florida cultural history, African-American history, and music of all periods. Peter received his BA from the University of Vermont, MA from Goddard College and the University of South Florida, and Ph.D. from Florida State University. His most recent CD album releases are titled “Black Tide Rising” and “Classic Jazz Matters.”
