| Borrower ID |
Your Borrower ID is required to check out any materials from the Library. If you are a CFCC student, your Borrower ID is your CFCC ID card. Please remember to bring it with you.
|
| Noise |
The North side of the Library (where the A-Q Circulating books are) is designated as the Quiet Study area. Library patrons are asked to keep noise to a minimum on this side of the Library.
The South side of the Library (where the Reference books are) is designated as the Group Study area. People may sometimes talk and make noise on this side of the Library. Very noisy groups may, however, be asked to move into a Study Room.
|
| Food |
Fast food and carry-out food are not allowed in the LRC.
|
| Community Borrowers |
Community borrowers' cards are available to current Florida residents who are age 16 or older. These cards cost $10 per year, and with them, people who are not currently registered students can log on to the library computers and check out up to 2 books at a time.
|
| Children |
In the Library, all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 16 are not allowed in the Learning Support Center lab.
|
| Computer Use |
Computers are provided by CFCC for the use of those enrolled at the college, as well as by others who pay a user fee. The computers in these labs and throughout the campus are intended for educational use.
As a CFCC computer user, you agree to:
Use the computers to improve skills, perform research, write papers, complete assignments or work on other functions related to your learning experience.
Abide by copyright and other state and federal laws relating to computer use.
Refrain from using the computer to play games, or visit chat rooms unrelated to a class or a specific assignment.
Avoid questionable or sexually explicit Web sites including but not limited to pornographic, illegal, or otherwise offensive pages.
Refrain from changing, installing or downloading anything on CFCC computers.
Leave technological equipment and/or academic resources as you have found them.
Report any problems with computers to the Reference or Circulation Desk.
|
| Donations |
Any donations of materials to the Library will be reviewed, and those items deemed useful to CFCC students will be placed in the collection. Any items not deemed useful for CFCC students' curricular needs will be placed on the Free Table.
|
| Study Rooms |
Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. However, groups have priority.
Study rooms can only be reserved by groups of two or more people. Individuals are allowed to use unoccupied study rooms, with the understanding that s/he may be asked to relocate if a group needs the room.
Reservations are recommended. To reserve a room, fill out a slip at the Reference Desk. These rooms are very popular, particularly between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, and during mid-terms and finals weeks, so reserving in advance is recommended.
Dry erase markers and erasers for the white boards are available at the Reference Desk.
Please be aware that personal items such as purses, wallets, book bags, cell phones, laptops, and textbooks should NOT be left unattended for any length of time.
Personal items left unattended may be collected by the Librarian and held at the Circulation Desk.
Fast food and carry-out food is not allowed in the Study Rooms or anywhere in the Library.
|
| Printing |
The Library requests a 10 cents per page donation for any print-outs to help defray the costs of paper and toner. Donation boxes are located next to each printer.
|
| Cell Phones |
Please set your cell phones to vibrate while in the Library, and please take all calls outside.
|
| Personal Items |
Please do not leave personal items unattended. The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
