How to Receive College Credit for Law Enforcement and Corrections Training

After you have completed 12 credit hours of college credit courses at CFCC toward the A.S. in Criminal Justice Technology, you may contact Michael Shuler, Student Development Advisor, at the Criminal Justice Institute, Building 31-108A, to petition for these credit hours.  If you completed your academy training at an institution other than CFCC, you must have an official academic transcript from that institution sent directly to the following address:

Mike Shuler
Educational Advisor
Criminal Justice Institute, Building 31-108A
Central Florida Community College
3001 S.W. College Road
Ocala, Florida 34474

Eligible students will be awarded the college credit hours of designated courses with an “S” grade for satisfactory completion through experiential learning.  This grade is not calculated in the student’s grade point average, but the college credit hours do count toward the A.S. degree requirements.
