Course Schedule
A career in Cosmetology or Barber Styling is fun and profitable! All courses are taught with the benefit of a state-of-the-art media center. The media center provides Internet access to all students and staff. The programs are online and students are able to interact, study, and participate in sample testing in subject matters related to the field of cosmetology.
Evening Classes:
- Evening course takes three semesters.

The Cosmetology programs consists of 1,200 hours of instruction, both theory and practice, and requires 12 months to complete. Classes meet Monday through Thursday.

Cosmetology involves the study of the hair, skin and nails for aesthetic reasons. The program provides both theoretical and practical training. Students will practice on mannequins and clients of the Personal Service Institute to develop and refine the skills used in cosmetology. Instruction is given in the fundamental knowledge behind the skills. Upon completion of the Cosmetology program, graduates may apply to the Florida Licensure Board. Upon passing the examination, graduates may work as licensed cosmetologists. This program has day and evening options.

The purpose of this program is to prepare a person for employment as a barber/stylist, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in this occupation. Instruction is designed to qualify students for employment upon successfully passing the Florida Barber License Examination.
