Delores Hunt - (Day) Personal Service Institute
About the Program
Each day, millions of people in the U.S. visit beauty salons and barbershops for haircuts, shaves, perms, hair color, facials, manicures, and countless other services - trusting their stylists to make them look their best.
The fields are known for opportunity and security. A cosmetologist or barber stylist who builds a reputation for quality work need never fear unemployment.
Research by the National Accrediting Commission on Cosmetology Arts and Sciences indicates that American salons have enough business to hire thousands of additional employees, but there are simply not enough stylists looking for work to fill the positions.

While many professions demand college degrees and years of experience for entry, more than half the openings in cosmetology and barber styling are for entry-level positions. A cosmetology or barber styling certificate can open career doors for you!
It is Central Florida Community College's mission to provide an opportunity to achieve a quality education. The primary objective of CFCC Personal Service Institute is to provide students the education and practical experience necessary to become either a Licensed Professional Cosmetologist, Barber, or Stylist. Training at the institute meets or exceeds the standards established by the U.S. Department of Education and Florida Board of Cosmetology.
