Board Members


Since 1959, the CF Foundation has brought together individuals, organizations and resources to fulfill the needs of our growing college and community. Our board determines direction and policy, works to accomplish the mission of this non-profit organization, manages resources efficiently, enhances our public image and monitors the organization's operations. The board reflects the communities we serve – our members have a broad spectrum of knowledge, experience and interests to ensure that the Foundation's mission and vision become a reality.

Mission Statement


The CF Foundation is a public, nonprofit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization providing resources to help the college carry out its mission of providing quality educational services to residents in Marion, Citrus and Levy counties. The Foundation provides exceptional opportunities for leadership service, voluntary action, charitable giving and community involvement. It also provides a variety of educational and cultural events to add to the quality of learning for our students and to the community.

Joan Stearns - Vice President, Institutional Advancement

Joan Stearns

Joan's is the CEO for the College of Central Florida Foundation and has Supervision over the Appleton Museum of Art. Other duties include the supervision of Grants and Resource Development and Marketing and Public Relations. Joan received her Bachelors of Science Degree from the State University of New York. Joan serves on the Board of Directors Council for Resource Development, Board of Directors at Munroe Regional Medical Center, Board of Directors for Public Policy Institute of Marion County and the Appleton Museum Advisory Council. Wendy Warner - Chief Fiscal Officer

Wendy Warner

Wendy's responsibility is to oversee all phases of financial transactions within the foundation. This includes receipts, disbursements, budget, audit and general ledger maintenance. She has been with the Foundation for 17 years. Wendy has a Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Florida. Currently she is on the Florida Council for Resource Development. Jean Imes - Coordinator – Resource Development

Jean Imes

Jean has been with the college since January 2010 and is responsible for development of major and planned gifts for the CF Foundation. Jean has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council and serves on the Board of Directors as the treasurer for Marion Senior Services. Jean's hobbies include reading, music and gardening. Bob Hawkins - Manager, Grants Development

Bob Hawkins

Bob prepares approximately 25 to 30 grant applications for the College of Central Florida annually. In addition, he supports CF departments as they prepare another 30 to 35 applications. He conducts grantsmanship workshops for the public through the CF Institute. Bob has been in the grants field for over 25 years and is a Certified Grants Professional and holds a Masters in Governmental Administration from the University of Pennsylvania at Wharton. Bob is an active member of the National Grant Professionals Association and the Marion County Grant Writers Group. In his free time, Bob is an online seller primarily offering media items (books, CD's, etc) through Amazon and eBay. You can contact Bob Hawkins at extension 1566 or by email here.

Jonathan Lowrey - Database Manager

Jonathan Lowrey

Jonathan has been with the CF Foundation since January 2012. His primary responsibilities consist of database management for Raisers Edge and maintenance of the websites for the CF Foundation, Appleton Museum, College Square Apartments and the CF Alumni. He has worked in the IT industry for 9 years since obtaining his A.S. degree in Computer Engineering Technology from the College of Central Florida. Diana Barge - Donor Relations

Diana Barge

Diana joined the CF Foundation in 2010 as a part-time grant assistant. Shortly thereafter, she transitioned to her current full-time role as a staff assistant in donor relations. Her responsibilities include co-managing the STEPS to CF annual scholarship award process, research, reporting, assisting with the Annual Fund and March of Dimes Blue Jeans for Babies programs and various donor-related matters, i.e., gift acknowledgements, recognition society correspondence and assisting with CF Foundation events, including photography. Previously, Diana attended Barry University in Miami, and is returning to school this year at CF. She is a licensed state and national legal guardian, as well as a licensed real estate associate. Traci Mason - Annual Fund and Alumni Coordinator

Traci Mason

Traci has been with the college since February 2013 and is responsible for Alumni Relations and the Annual Fund. Traci received her B.S. degree in Advertising from the University of Florida and has been working in the nonprofit industry for over 13 years. Traci is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Ocala and is also at volunteer at 8th Street Elementary School. Bonnie Malcom Accounting Specialist III

Bonnie Malcom

Bonnie's responsibilities include advanced accounting and bookkeeping work including accounts payable, accounts receivable and posting to general ledger. She also coordinates with College of Central Florida faculty and staff on the use of Endowed Chair funds. She has been with the college since August 2001. Bonnie has an AS Degree in Accounting Technology from the College of Central Florida. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Bonnie enjoys reading, travel, crafts and her pets. Stacey Melancon - Scholarship Accounting Specialist

Stacey Melancon

Stacey’s responsibilities include advanced accounting and bookkeeping work including posting & receipting gifts to development software, preparing donor endowment activity reports, and assisting with the preparation of the annual scholarship allocation report for the College of Central Florida. She also coordinates with Financial Aid office to assist with the awarding of both endowed and non-endowed scholarships. She has been with the Foundation for 12 years. Stacey has an A.S. Degree in Business Administration & Management from the College of Central Florida and a Certificate in Advanced Equine Care & Technology. Lynda Peek - Volunteer Coordinator

Linda Peek

Lynda is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Friends of the Foundation. She is also involved in other events that include Dinner Theater, receptions, Performing Arts in Ocala and Lecanto, Information Stations and graduation. She has been with the Foundation since 2005. Lynda has an A.S. Degree in Dental Hygiene from St. Pete Junior College, an A.S. Degree in Horticulture & Landscape Design from CF and is certified by Florida's Volunteer Administration Certificate Program. Lynda has been involved with the Junior League since 1986 and serves as the vestry at Grace Episcopal Church. Lynda spends her personal time reading and gardening. Anna Stephenson - Accountant III

Anna Stephenson

Anna has been with the college since 2004. Her responsibilities are to assist the Chief Fiscal Officer with reconciling, recording & reporting the general ledger. Anna has an A.S in Accounting from Mass. Bay Community College, B.S. in Accounting from Bently University and her M.B.A. from Webster University. Linda Stickney - Staff Assistant, College & Community Relations

Linda Stickney

Linda has been with the college since July 2011. She is the assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and to the Manager of Grants Development. She also assists with planning, coordinating and set-up of events for various Foundation and College events. Linda has an A.S. Norma Tellez - Staff Assistant (Part-time)

Norma Tellez

Norma has been with the CF Foundation for 3 years. She works closely with the STEPS program and is responsible for monthly development reporting as well as letters to donors and student thank you letters. Jennie Weaver - Special Events Coordinator, Taste of Ocala

Jennie Weaver

With your support, the College of Central Florida Foundation provides scholarships to students, endowed chairs for faculty, and academic programs to enhance the college's learning environment.


Currently, the foundation's Promise for the Future campaign is generating resources for three college priorities: instructional program development, CF Citrus Instructional and Conference Center, and a permanent CF Levy Campus.
