Released in 2010, “Of Gods and Men” loosely depicts the life of Cistercian monks from the monastery of Tibhirine in Algeria from 1993 until their kidnapping in 1996. After a massacre of foreign workers by an Islamic fundamentalist group, the region is overcome with fear. Inspired by a true story, the film is in French with English subtitles and lasts approximately two hours. “Of Gods and Men” is rated PG-13 due to some violent scenes.
