(OCALA, Fla.) April 11, 2012 — The College of Central Florida Visual and Performing Arts Department will present “A Musical Collage” on Saturday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.

Featured in the concert are the CF Patriot Singers, the CF Wind Symphony and the premiere of the CF Young Singers. As a special gift to the community, admission is free and tickets are not required.

“This particular concert is a fantastic way to experience an exciting variety of musical genres all in one sitting,” said Dr. Jennifer Fryns, director of Visual and Performing Arts. “It will really show that there is no style or genre of music that goes untouched at CF.”

The Patriot Singers will perform a mix of classical and world music. The Wind Symphony will mix it up with a rock-inspired composition and will also feature two CF faculty members, Dr. Sarah Satterfield on flute and Keith Northover on clarinet. The evening will also include the much anticipated, premiere performance of the CF Young Singers, the college’s community youth choir.

“Our audience is going to walk away from this concert humming some really joyful music,” said Fryns.
