Applause: CFCC Names Gabor Recipients

Central Florida Community College honored its 19th Annual Gabor Award winners during its recent annual employee recognition program, Friday, May 2. Professor Patrick Fleming has been employed at CFCC for 15 years and was honored in the faculty category. Sandy Markham, executive administrative assistant for the Office for Instruction, was honored in the career service category. She has worked for the college for more than seven years. Lyn Powell, director of Enrollment Services, was honored in the administrative and professional category. She has worked for the college for 17 years. The awards were established by the Gabor Agency in 1990 and are bestowed in conjunction with the CFCC Foundation Inc. Faculty and staff nominated their peers based on “contributions to our students, college and community.”
