Register Now for Insurance Continuing Education Courses

The CF Institute at Central Florida Community College is accepting registration for insurance continuing education courses Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.

  • Health Savings Account will meet 9 a.m. to noon. The course covers employee and employer contributions, benefits, limitations, taxes and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The fee is $49.
  • LTC vs. Medicare and Medicaid covers the benefits of Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care and planning for later years. It will meet 1 to 5 p.m. and the fee is $59.
  • Premium Discounts and Ethics for Agents will meet 5:45 to 9:15 p.m. This intermediate course meets the premium discounts-mitigation options and ethics requirements for general lines and personal lines agents and insurance customer representatives. The fee is $59.

Courses on health insurance qualify for technical business continuing professional education credit for Florida CPAs. Proof of attendance will be supplied.
