Ecotourism Business Marketing Workshop at Levy Center

The Central Florida Community College Levy Center will present Marketing Your Ecotourism Business, a three-hour workshop for small businesses that want to give a boost to their marketing efforts.

The workshop will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, at the Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd., Chiefland. The fee is $29.

Participants will learn the components of a marketing plan and how to budget for marketing. They will learn about the many marketing activities they can employ, how to identify no- and low-cost ways to market their business, and how to calculate if marketing efforts are profitable.

Workshop presenter Carol McQueen is the executive director of the Levy County Visitor’s Bureau. She has been appointed to the Board of Directors of VISIT FLORIDA, the official tourism marketing corporation for the state of Florida, where she serves on the Cultural, Heritage, Rural and Nature Committee. This vibrant and energetic presentation will benefit any small business owner.

Pre-registration is required and the deadline is 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21.
