Tickets Available for CF Performing Arts Series 2012-2013

The College of Central Florida has released the schedule for its 2012-2013 Performing Arts Series, which features music, dance and more.
“We are excited that such a variety of national productions are touring through Florida next year and that we were able to secure performances by them,” said Dr. Jennifer Fryns, associate dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences at CF. “We are also pleased to feature a greatest hits of previous seasons’ performers in Citrus County. This is a pure line-up of audience favorites and two of these events will be at the College of Central Florida’s intimate Citrus Learning and Conference Center, where every seat feels like the front row!”
CF will host Tango del Cielo on Monday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road. This performance features a heavenly blend of Argentine Tango, Spanish Flamenco and classical and Latin jazz.
Pianist Emile Pandolfi will perform on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m. in the Citrus Learning and Conference Center at the Citrus Campus, 3800 S. Lecanto Highway, Lecanto. A passion for music, beauty, communication of emotion, life and laughter is what you will hear when Pandolfi touches the piano.
In December, the Golden Dragon Acrobats will perform in Ocala and Lecanto: Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m., in the Curtis Peterson Auditorium, 3810 N. Educational Path, Lecanto; Monday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dassance Fine Arts Center. The Golden Dragon Acrobats are recognized throughout the world as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company.
Cherish the Ladies, a six-member Irish-American band, returns to CF in February for two performances: Sunday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. in the Curtis Peterson Auditorium and Monday, Feb. 25, 7:30 p.m. in the Dassance Fine Arts Center.
Classic rock ’n’ roll band The Diamonds will perform on Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. at the Citrus Campus.
“Stuffed and Unstrung,” an adult-only variety show from the puppeteers of Jim Henson Puppet Co., is set for Tuesday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dassance Fine Arts Center.
“I believe audiences will be inspired by the variety of performances that we have scheduled this year,” said Fryns.
