Instructors Needed for Spring Semester

Nov. 6, 2009

Central Florida Community College is seeking part-time, adjunct instructors for classes that begin in January.

"As our enrollment increases, so does the need for instructors to teach preparatory and college-level courses,” said Dr. Barbara Burrows, CFCC’s vice president for Instructional Affairs. “We believe that there are individuals in our community who might be qualified to help us meet the growing demands that a challenging economy puts on higher education."

Instructors are needed for college-level Anatomy and Physiology, Biological Sciences, Brass Instrument Instruction, Chemistry, Dental Assisting, English, Environmental Science, Humanities, Mathematics, Microbiology, Nursing, Nutrition, Psychology, Physical Science, and World History. Most disciplines require a master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in the subject area.

Instructors are also needed for preparatory courses in Mathematics and Reading. These applicants should have a Bachelor of Arts or higher in the subject area.

The openings are at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road; Citrus Campus, 3800 S. Lecanto Highway in Lecanto; and the Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd. in Chiefland.

For information and online application visit www.CF.edu. Go to Employment under Quick Links. Candidates should submit a complete application package with curriculum vitae and transcripts. Official transcripts indicating degree conferred are required for all faculty positions; however, copies or unofficial transcripts are accepted during the recruiting process.
