CFCC Represented at Plus 50 Conference

Central Florida Community College was represented by Jerone Gamble, manager of Continuing Education, and Bebe Rahaman, program associate, at the Plus 50 Initiative Conference in Washington, D.C., in June. CFCC will enhance local programs for seniors and mentor two other colleges as part of a three-year, nationwide initiative launched by the American Association of Community Colleges with support from The Atlantic Philanthropies. Gamble and Rahaman will be assisted by Betty Green, coordinator of the Senior Institute, and Dian Booth, manager of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at CFCC. The college received a $70,000 grant to implement the programs, which focus on three core areas: lifelong learning, workforce re-education and volunteer services that lead toward purposeful lives.
