CF to Host Author Bea Swedien

The College of Central Florida will host Bea Swedien, author of “Under the Red Blanket,” Monday, March 4. The Ocala resident will share her memoir about family experiences living with the headhunting tribes of North East India.

The presentation begins at 12:30 p.m. and will be held in the Ewers Century Center, CF Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road. The event is free.

Swedien, who is of Swedish decent and was born in the United States, will discuss cultural differences. She will also share film footage during the presentation.

"This book is the story of our lives among the Nagas (a composite of 18 tribes), whom I still consider to be my family and their hills to be my home,” Swedien said.
