Free Session on Car Stereo Installer Course

The CF Institute at Central Florida Community College will offer a free information session on its new mobile electronics course.

The session will be held 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, in Building 9 at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road. Instructor Wayde Alfarone will provide information about the Certified Car Stereo Installer I course that will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 8 through Aug. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. The course fee is $1,195 and includes books.

The 42-hour course includes classroom and hands-on training and will cover basic electronics, vehicle acoustics, fundamental enclosure design, and installation technology. The program is technical in nature, and will give the student the basic skills needed to design and install car audio, including box design, and fabrication.

Students who complete the course can apply for Mobile Electronics Certified Professional certification. For information or to enroll, call 352-854-2322, ext. 1496. The deadline to register is Thursday, June 26.
