CF Selected as Plus 50 Champion College

The College of Central Florida is one of 11 colleges selected nationwide to participate in the Encore Completion Program being launched by the American Association of Community Colleges.

The Plus 50 Champion Colleges will assist with evaluating and supporting 100 new Plus 50 Encore Completion Colleges as they put in place programs to help baby boomers who are interested in returning to college. The Plus 50 Encore Completion program supports AACC’s work to increase the number of students who finish college degrees, certificates and other credentials that will make them more valuable in the workplace. 

Since 2008, CF has served as a lead college in the national Plus 50 Initiative, serving as the mentor college to Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria, Va.; Pasco-Hernando Community College in New Port Richey; Rose State College in Midwest City, Okla.; and Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, N.C.
