Citrus Campus to Host Artist Jordan Shapot

Central Florida Community College will host an exhibit with up-and-coming illustrator Jordan Shapot Monday, Feb. 8, through March 5 at the Citrus Campus.
Shapot is a 2005 graduate of Lecanto High School and recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. His art is powerful, expressive and amusing. In addition to editorial work, he markets himself toward children’s books, posters, album art and advertising illustration.
The exhibit will be displayed in the upstairs exhibition hall in Building L2, 3800 S. Lecanto Highway in Lecanto. An opening reception with light refreshments and live music will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18. There is no charge to attend the reception or exhibition, which is made possible by the CFCC Foundation and the CFCC Institute for Community Advancement.
