Register Now for Insurance Courses at Citrus Campus

The CF Institute at Central Florida Community College is accepting enrollment for insurance continuing education courses at the Citrus Campus, 3800 S. Lecanto Highway, Lecanto. The courses will meet on Monday, Nov. 16, in Building L2, Room 201A.

  • Suitability of Annuity and Life Insurance Transactions will meet 9 a.m. to noon. The course focuses on the duties and responsibilities of insurers and agents to ensure that the recommendation of an annuity product is appropriate for senior clients. This course satisfies the senior suitability education requirement for life insurance agents and now substitutes for their ethics continuing education requirement. The fee is $45.
  • Hurricane Loss Mitigation II explores the topic of mitigation options for property and casualty insurance coverage. This four-hour intermediate course satisfies the premium discounts/mitigation options and ethics requirements for personal lines agents, general lines agents and insurance customer service representatives. It also provides hours toward the ethics and optional continuing education hours for independent and company adjusters. It will meet 1 to 5 p.m. and the fee is $59.

Certified public accountants may complete either course for continuing professional education credit. The enrollment deadline for these courses is Thursday, Nov. 12.
