CFCC Levy Center to Offer Computer Courses

The Levy Center of Central Florida Community College is accepting registration for computer courses that begin in May.

Computer Fundamentals I will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays, May 5 through June 16. It is a beginner’s course for those with little or no computer experience. Students will learn about starting up and shutting down, using the mouse and keyboard, data storage and retrieval, creating files and folders, printing documents and connecting to the Internet. The course fee is $50.

MS Excel Fundamentals will meet 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. on Tuesdays, May 6 through June 10. The course is for those wishing to learn how to use the powerful spreadsheet program Microsoft Excel. Students will learn to create, save, retrieve, edit and print worksheets and to format columns and cells. They will also create basic formulas, learn how to sort data, freeze/unfreeze panes, and more. Students should have basic working knowledge of computers to take this course. Course fee is $60.
