CFCC to Offer Customer Service Training for Seniors

June 5, 2008

The CF Institute at Central Florida Community College will offer a Customer Service Technology program in July especially for seniors 50 and better.

The program is designed for individuals nearing retirement, already retired or exploring new directions in life. The $99 training lasts five days and includes sessions in Windows XP and Computer Basics, Internet Explorer/Outlook and Customer Service Training. The sessions will help students work through computer anxieties and help them to develop skills needed for success in the customer service field.

The training will be held July 21 through 28 at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road. For information about the daily schedule or to register, call Bebe Rahaman at 352-854-2322, ext. 1675, or Betty Green at 352-291-4444.

Students who register for the training can also attend the Keyboarding and Basic Computer Operations course at no cost. The course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 8-17, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The program is offered by CFCC’s Pathways to Living, Learning & Serving, providing comprehensive, coordinated services to the mature citizens of the communities served by the college. The programs were developed with the support of The American Association for Community Colleges and Atlantic Philanthropies.
