CF Plans Day of Caring at Evangeline Apartments
Feb. 7, 2012
Faculty, staff and students of the College of Central Florida will celebrate a United Way Day of Caring at Evangeline Booth Garden Apartments on Saturday, Feb. 25.
For more than a decade, CF has partnered with the independent seniors at the apartment complex managed by the Salvation Army. Volunteers will engage residents with cosmetology services, a car wash, games, heavy lifting, some light cleaning, and more.
The activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the apartment complex, 2921 N.E. 14th St., Ocala.
"CF is honored to work with Evangeline Booth Garden Apartments,” said Mac Dismuke, manager of CF Learning Support Centers and a volunteer. “Employees and students volunteering their time, talent and resources to help improve the lives of these residents shows one small part of the commitment CF has to the community. It epitomizes our institutional values of integrity, service, responsibility and dignity.”
