Author, Filmmaker de Graaf Returns to CFCC

Author and documentary filmmaker John de Graaf will visit Central Florida Community College in February to talk about values for a healthy democracy and sustainable environment.

De Graaf is co-author of “Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic,” editor of “Take Back Your Time” and the children’s book “David Brower: Friend of the Earth.” He is the national coordinator of Take Back Your Time, an organization challenging time poverty and overwork in the U.S. and Canada and has been an independent producer of television documentaries for 24 years.

On Thursday, Feb. 11, de Graaf will show footage from his film “What’s the Economy for, Anyway?” and follow with a discussion. The presentation is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Webber Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.

On Friday, Feb. 12, de Graff will focus on Health and Happiness in a discussion at the Appleton Museum of Art of Central Florida Community College, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd. The program begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Auditorium.
