CF Dinner Theater to Present 'Moon Over Buffalo'
Dec. 15, 2011
Enjoy an evening of entertainment and dining when the College of Central Florida Foundation presents its 14th Annual Dinner Theater production, “Moon Over Buffalo” by Ken Ludwig.
Performances will be held Jan. 25-29, 2012, in the Webber Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road. Evening performances, Wednesday through Sunday, begin with dinner at 6 p.m. Matinee performances, Saturday and Sunday, begin with the meal at 12:30 p.m. Doors open 15 minutes before the meal. A full schedule is available at www.CF.edu/foundation, then Events. Tickets are $55.
“Moon Over Buffalo” is about an acting couple, Charlotte and George Hay, who are on tour in 1953 Buffalo with Cyrano de Bergerac when director Frank Capra comes to see their matinee performance. Hilarious misunderstandings pile on madcap misadventures, all of which are magnified by Charlotte’s mother who manages the theatre.
The New York Post has called the production “hilarious...building up its laughs methodically shtick by shtick. Ludwig stuffs his play with comic invention, running gags...and a neat sense of absurdity. Go and enjoy.”
This year’s production benefits the CF Foundation’s Promise for the Future Fund, helping the college develop educational programs based on community needs.
