Oct. 29, 2012
The College of Central Florida will host an Energy Summit on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Ocala Campus. The event will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Ewers Century Center, 3001 SW. College Road.
The summit will feature Rep. Seth McKeel of Lakeland, member of the House Energy and Utilities Committee, who will speak about energy policy-making in Florida. An additional presentation will be made by Kevin Reed from the Ocala Power Plant Business Incubator. The program is supported by a grant from Progress Energy Florida, a subsidiary of Duke Energy.
“Congratulations on hosting this important summit,” McKeel said. “I look forward to participating and working together to achieve responsible energy policy in our state.”
There is no cost to attend the summit, which includes a luncheon; due to limited seating, participants must RSVP via email to scroggid@cf.edu.
