International Film Series Presents 'Last Train Home'

The College of Central Florida International Film Series will present “Last Train Home,” a documentary of a Chinese family’s annual migration.
The film will be shown on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art, College of Central Florida, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd. and at 7 p.m. at the CF Ocala Campus in Building 8, Room 110, 3001 S.W. College Road.
At the Appleton, viewers pay museum admission unless they are a museum member or a patron of the CF International Film Series. Series membership is $15 for individuals, $25 for dual membership and includes a bonus film each year. For information about membership, call 352-873-5808. The viewing is free at CF.
Released in 2009, “Last Train Home” shows the yearly journey of one family out of 200 million from the city to the country to celebrate the New Year. It stars Changhua Zhan, Yang Zhang and Suqin Chen and is directed by Lixin Fan. This film was named Best Documentary Feature at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in 2009. This 85-minute film is subtitled.
