Financial Planning for Retirement at CFCC

Pathways Life Services at Central Florida Community College will offer a comprehensive seminar on Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement.

The four-week seminar will cover financial basics, retirement income, investments, risk management, tax strategies and estate planning. The informational session is being offered in partnership with MetLife Securities. There is no solicitation conducted as part of the classroom instruction.

The seminar will be offered Thursdays, Aug. 21 through Sept. 11, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuition is $75 for the first student, with free attendance for the spouse or an adult guest. The deadline for registration is Aug. 14.

Each paid registrant will receive a course binder packed with information (including a glossary of financial terms), exercises, and questions to help identify financial goals and needs, and to assist in the evaluation of personal opportunities. Although the focus is on retirement, this course is appropriate for anyone wishing to learn more about investing and basic financial principles.
