Health Care Courses at CF Hampton Center

The College of Central Florida will offer Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide courses beginning in September at the CF Hampton Center, 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
The Certified Nursing Assistant course prepares individuals for work as nursing assistants in nursing homes and prepares students to take the Florida CNA exam. The course includes classroom instruction, lab practice and clinical experience. It will meet 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 16 through Nov. 6. Students must complete the Test of Adult Basic Education, pass a level two background screening and complete a physical with immunizations. The course fee is $598 and a textbook is required. Scholarship funding is available to qualified students.
The 20-hour Home Health Aide course will meet 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, Nov. 12-14. The course prepares individuals to work for home care agencies. The fee is $189 and a textbook is required. To register, a student must pass the CNA class.
