Former CF Vice President Harvey Honored

Dr. Jim Harvey, longtime Citrus County community member and former senior vice president at the College of Central Florida, has been recognized again for his accomplishments.

Harvey was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Florida College System Activities Association as a Distinguished Service Award Winner. The award is given to individuals who have provided significant leadership and service to the FCSAA Executive Committee and its many activities. He also received the Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Florida Colleges. The award recognizes members of AFC for exceptional achievement at the chapter, region, commission and/or state level. 

Harvey retired from the College of Central Florida in June 2012 with 33 years of service in the Florida College System including 13 at CF. The awards were presented at the fall conference of the Association of Florida Colleges, held Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Palm Harbor.
