Levy Center Information Session on Adult Education

March 26, 2012

The College of Central Florida Levy Center will hold an information session about adult education opportunities to determine if there is enough interest to support a class in Inglis. The information session will be held on Thursday, April 12, beginning at 10 a.m., Inglis Town Hall, 135 Highway 40 West in Inglis.

CF offers a variety of services to help students earn a General Education Development Test diploma including adult basic education, GED preparation, adult high school, and college and career preparation. Classes include a 12-hour introduction to adult education to help individuals identify strengths and set educational goals, as well as preparation to pass the five sections of the GED Tests in mathematics, reading, science, social studies and writing.

The classes are open to those 16 and older who are not enrolled in any other school and do not have a high school diploma. Classes are currently available mid-day and evening at the Levy Center, 114 Rogers Blvd. in Chiefland. Online classes are also available.

Enrollment is open five times a year. The next enrollment session begins in April. Staff will be available at the information session to assist students in completing applications.
