Boating Safety Course at Levy Center

The Levy Center of Central Florida Community College will offer a Boating Safety Course taught by U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary certified instructors. The class will meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, Feb. 20 and 27, at the Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd. in Chiefland.
Boat operators who were born on or after Jan. 1, 1988, must pass an approved boating safety course in order to legally operate a boat with a motor of 10 horsepower or more. Class attendance fulfills this requirement.
The course fee of $39 includes all materials. Preregistration is required by noon on Thursday, Feb. 18. Register in person at the Levy Center, by calling 352-493-9533, or online at www.CFCCtraining.com (select Levy noncredit catalog).
