CF Levy Center Begins Small Business Development Series

The College of Central Florida Levy Center will begin its Small Business Development Series on Monday, Sept. 17. Sessions will meet at the Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd. in Chiefland.

The first session is titled What Business Should I Start? It will give participants a better understanding of the world of small business and present tools to discover what kind of entrepreneur they might be. There is no fee to attend this session, which will meet from 1-4 p.m.

Social Media Basics for Business will be offered on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 6-8 p.m. Participants will learn how social media can be used as a marketing tool. The fee is $20.

Additional sessions include Business Fundability, Simple Steps to Growing Your Business, QuickBooks Comprehensive, and more. Some meet one time, others over several weeks. Fees vary and a few are free. 
Resource partners for the series are the Florida Small Business Development Council at the University of North Florida, Levy County Enterprise Zone, Levy County Visitors Bureau, Nature Coast Business Development Council Inc., SCORE of Gainesville, and Workforce Connection of Citrus, Levy and Marion counties.
