Flu Vaccine Clinics at Levy Center

Central Florida Community College has partnered with the Levy County Health Department to offer H1N1 influenza vaccinations to the public at the CFCC Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd, Chiefland. The immunizations will be offered on Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 28, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The vaccine is recommended as protection from H1N1 influenza, informally known as swine flu, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. People at greatest risk for H1N1 flu infection or transmission include children and young adults, caregivers of very young children, pregnant women, health care and emergency medical services personnel, and people with chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease.
