Digital Photography and Editing at CFCC Levy Center

The Levy Center of Central Florida Community College will offer Basic Digital Photography and Editing. The four-week class will meet Thursdays, Aug. 7-28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd. in Chiefland.
Students will need to bring their camera, camera manual and cables as well as a USB/Flash drive to class. The course fee is $79.
Students will learn the basic functions of a digital camera and how to transfer photos to a computer for storage and printing. They will also learn basic photography concepts regarding light, composition and depth of field, and will be introduced to Photoshop Elements and free software downloads for photo editing.
Instructor Bill Kilborn has earned the Master of Photography Degree and the Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America. He made the transition to digital photography as soon as it became viable and has become a master of Adobe Photoshop with 15 years experience.
