Manufacturing Scholarship Opportunity at CFCC

Central Florida Community College is accepting applications for two $1,000 scholarships provided by the Marion Regional Manufacturers Association.

The MRMA is looking for students who are interested in the manufacturing industry and are studying business, computers, science or engineering at CFCC. The scholarships can be used for tuition, fees, books or housing at CFCC in 2008-2009. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 30.

“The MRMA is dedicated to the growth and success of the manufacturing industry in the Marion County area,” said Carla DeFrank, president of MRMA. “By providing scholarship opportunities, we are helping to grow the next generation of industry leaders.”

Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and demonstrate financial need. To be considered, students should also file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
