CF Hosts Mary Lightfine, Nurse Without Boundaries

The College of Central Florida Foundation Endowed Chairs for Excellence Program will present Mary Lightfine, author of “Nurses, Nomads and Warlords” on Wednesday, Feb. 8. There is no charge to attend the event which will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
Lightfine, a seasoned veteran of the Nobel Prize-winning Doctors Without Boundaries, has appeared in LIFE Magazine, The History Channel, as well as national and international television. She will share inspirational and compelling stories about some of her more challenging experiences, such as traveling through war-torn Somalia, the jungles of Sri Lanka and bringing food to starving refugees in Southern Sudan following the destruction of their villages by government alliances.
