Register Now for Security Officer Course

The CF Institute at Central Florida Community College is accepting enrollment for the 24-Hour Unarmed Security Officer course which begins Jan. 4 at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.

This state-approved course meets the minimum education requirement to become a licensed Class D security officer. Classes will meet 6 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday through Jan. 9. The fee is $105 and includes all training materials.

Due to state requirements, all class time must be attended. Upon completion, students may submit their state application for licensure. Within 180 days of licensing, individuals must complete the remaining 16 hours of the state total educational requirement. This additional 16 hours will be offered again at the college on Feb. 1.

Registration will be accepted through Thursday, Dec. 31. Registration is available online at www.CFCCtraining.com.
