CF Offering 36th Summer Study Program to Spain

The College of Central Florida will travel to Spain in summer 2013 to explore the artistic, historic and cultural foundations of Western man.
Dr. Orlando Moreno, CF professor emeritus of Spanish language and culture, will lead the travel and study programs. The opportunity is open to high school students, college students and adults. Dual enrollment students and teachers needing re-certification credits are also welcome.
Travelers have several options. A three-week program, June 16 through July 7, costs $3,295 and includes airfare, health and accident insurance, two weeks in the Costa del Sol with hotel, breakfast and dinner daily, one night in Seville, with breakfast and dinner included, lodging for four nights in a student dormitory in Madrid, and three meals a day in the dormitory dining room. A four-week program, July 2-29, costs $3,995 and includes airfare, insurance, lodging and meals, as well as a three-day stay in Paris. A six-week program, June 16 through July 29, costs $5,795 and adds the two-week stay in Costa del Sol, Spain.
All participants must enroll as CF credit or audit students, with new students paying a one-time $30 application fee. Spanish language courses are offered at all levels. Additional courses in Spanish Culture and Civilization and Spanish Art History are taught in English. The fee for courses is $105.10 per credit hour.
The deadline for enrolling in the travel programs is May 1, 2013. However, applicants registering by Dec. 15, 2012, will receive registration discounts.
Sightseeing, lectures, museum visits, seminars and presentations by American and European professors will enhance the learning experience. Optional excursions are available to Toledo, Segovia, Barcelona and Lisbon.
