CF Announces Retirement of Dr. Joe Wallace
Nov. 30, 2012
The College of Central Florida has announced the retirement of Dr. Joe Wallace, director of Marketing and Public Relations. Wallace, who has been employed by CF for nearly 13 years, served his last day at the college on Thursday, Nov. 15.
“Joe Wallace is a valued team member who has played a significant role in sharing the CF story, both internally and in the community,” said Dr. Jim Henningsen, CF president. “He will be missed for his dedicated service.”
During his tenure at the CF, Wallace has overseen the 50th anniversary of college, an expanded mission to offer baccalaureate degrees, a new name, new branding, and much more. He served as vice president of commissions for the Association of Florida Colleges in 2012.
“What an honor it has been to serve the college,” said Wallace. “I am richer for the experience and for the friendships I have made here and in the community. I am confident that the future of the college is bright and in good hands. I am proud to have had a small part in the success of CF and our students.”
Until the position of director has been filled, media representatives should continue to contact Lois Brauckmuller, assistant director of Marketing and Public Relations. She can be reached at 352-854-2322, ext. 1374, or brauckml@cf.edu.
