Guidelines for Entering CF Students
(Based on your Entry Type and the Major you have selected)
New College Students – All new students (no prior earned college credits) who are pursuing an associate degree are required to attend an in-person orientation/ registration. Attendance is required to be able to register. Students receive their assigned orientation session appointment in the mail a few weeks after their acceptance letter. Vocational or certificate seeking students DO NOT have to complete orientation (see below).
Students must have taken an entrance exam (ACT, SAT or CPT) within the last two years, their scores must be on file at CF AND should bring a copy of all scores to the orientation/registration session. Students must request that their high school send a final, official transcript showing their graduation date to CF’s Office of Admissions and Records, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala, FL 34474.
Transfer Students – To register, students must request that official transcripts be sent from their high school and ALL colleges attended to CF’s Office of Admissions and Records. If students have not taken college level English or math, they may need to satisfy CF’s placement testing requirements (ACT, SAT, or CPT scores that are less than two years old). Transcripts must be received and evaluated by CF before a transfer student may register.
Transfer students should complete Online Orientation. They may then select courses and register on the Web on or after their priority registration date (posted on the MyCF Web Portal).
Those needing additional academic advising and/or assistance with the online registration process, please call 352-873-5802 (Ocala Campus), 352-249-1202 (Citrus Campus) or 352-493-9533 (Levy Center).
Returning Students – Students who have not taken a credit course at CF within the past year will be required to update their admissions application by completing a Readmission Application (no fee required). Students who have not taken a credit course at CF within the past five years should complete the online orientation process.
